The main extreme show and exhibition to open in Sokolniki!
From 24 to 27 May 2012, International Festival of elitist extreme sports, recreation and tourism EXTREMEX to take place in Sokolniki. The Festival to include extreme exhibition, photo gallery, conference; show program, interactive zones, championships and tournaments for various extreme sports directions. According to industry experts, the event to be the largest one of all events of a similar format (exhibition + show) in Eastern Europe. The project is officially supported by Government of Moscow, the RF Ministry for Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy, Commission of the Federation Council on Physical Culture, Sports and Development of the Olympic movement. The event is purposed to promote healthy lifestyles, familiarize the youth with extreme sports, and demonstrate achievements of the international extreme sports industry. The festival is a major tool for development of extreme sports in Moscow, in particular in Moscow’s parks (according to the Moscow Government’s program).
The grand opening ceremony: 12 am, Thursday, 24th May 2012 (pavilion 4, Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre) The opening ceremony to be attended by top officials of Moscow Department of Physical Education and Sports, Moscow City Department of Family and Youth Policy, Moscow City Department of Culture, Eastern District Prefecture, Kamchatka Ministry for Sports and Tourism, Russian University of Physical Culture, Sports, Youth and Tourism, Russian Climbing Federation, Association of suppliers of goods and services for tourism and recreation, and other organizations. Activities within the Festival:
A grand show program to take place at 8 pm on May 26th. Some moto-freestyle stars led by the most titled Russian PRO-rider, Alexey Kolesnikov to perform within the show program. A famous showman and extreme sportsman, World’s Champion for Cable Wakeboarding, Yury Pashkov to be the host. Hip-hop concert featuring such iconic rappers as Legalize and N’Pans is scheduled as well. To enter the exhibition, you should pay 200 rubles (24-27 May, from 11.00 to 19.00). The flyer allows you to enter at 100 rubles (24-25 May, from 11.00 to 19.00). Admission to the show program is 600 rubles (26 May, at 20.00). Free shuttles with EXTREMEX sign to run from Sokolniki metro to Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre and back.
