The winner family: Vic Wild and Alena Zavarzina
Vic Wild and Alena Zavarzina are the happily-married Olympic couple of snowboarders. A 28-year-old American-born snowboarder Wild became a Russian citizen only 2 years ago, when his relationship with a 25-year-old sportsman from Novosibirsk Alena Zavarzina became really serious. The newly made Russian has won gold at the Sochi Olympics. A Swiss snowboarder Nevin Galmarini was his main competitor at the finals, but Wild defeated him after the first round.

Massimo Motors is a new off-road brand in the USA
A new brand is picking up in the field of off-road buggies in the United States. Massimo Motors managed to increase sales by 30%. A new series of Alligator off-road buggies shows its own style in the design and in the custom design solutions. Moreover, it is officially announced that the agreement with the Sheffield Financial company on adoption was signed. Plus, the project will be financed by GE Capital.

The Individual Ice Racing World Championship’s leg in Blagoveshchensk
The Individual Ice Racing World Championship finals held in Blagoveshchensk came to an end with the Red Bull athlete's victory. The second weekend of Motul FIM Ice Speedway Gladiators’2014, the Individual Ice Racing World Championship was held at the Amur stadium. On Saturday, Daniil Ivanov let Dmitry Koltakov take the lead, but on Sunday, in the final race of the competition the reigning world champion was fortunate enough to leave behind Igor Kononov, Dmitry Koltakov and Pavel Chaika.

First Legs of the Motorcycle Ice Race Championship
On February 2-3, Krasnogorsk hosted the first two legs of the final series of the Motorcycle Ice Race Individual Championship 2013. Daniil Ivanov became the undisputed Red Bull leader. Nikolai Krasnikov, former favourite and 8-times world champion, absent, Daniil Ivanov is considered to be the most promising rider, winning silver in 2012. Competition had been tough though.

On January 26 Saint-Paul (Minnesota) hosted Red Bull Crashed Ice 2013, ice cross downhill championship second leg. The Russian team was the 6th in team total, and as far as individual classification is concerned, Andrei Lavrov came 17th, whereas Khariton Vlasov and Pavel Kryukov only slightly improved their position, making it to 43rd and 53rd place respectively
