International festival of affordable and elite sports, recreation and tourism EXTREMEX finished in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event was officially supported by the Moscow Government, Ministry for Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation and the Federation Council Commission for Physical Culture, Sports and development of the Olympic movement. The main partner of the project was the administration of Kamchatka region. The festival was organized by Moskau Messe exhibition Company.

All the festive activities took two exhibition pavilions ― number 4 (4,752 square meters) and number 4.1 (3,752 square meters), where the exposition and show zone were placed. Some test drives and concerts took place at the Festival square and stage. During the 4 days of the festival, from 24 to 27 May, the exhibition pavilions were visited by 4,200 people and the events located in open areas of the park ― more than 350,000 people.


Such official guests visited Sokolniki those days as Deputy Head of Moscow Department of Physical Education and Sports, Alexey Pyzhov; leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky; Deputy Prefect of the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, Oleg Pilshchikov; Kamchatka Minister of Sports and Tourism, Viktor Kravchenko; Director of Training Center for extreme and youth sports of the Department of Physical Education and Sports in Moscow, Konstantin Permyakov and others.


The festival was attended by 49 companies leading in the sector of extreme industry in Russia, the USA, Italy and Spain. Sportsmen and artists from 9 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Romania, Norway, Belgium, Britain, and Guinea-Bissau performed in the show program.


There was a large-scale advertising and PR-campaign that included outdoor advertising in all districts of Moscow, publication of advertisement and articles in print and online media (Moskovsky Komsomolets, Moskva-Info, Tverskaya, 13; Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad, Vechernyaia Moskva, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, National Geographic Traveler, Sport-Express. Extreme and others), broadcast audio clips and invitations drawing on the radio stations (Energy FM, Love Radio, City-FM, Radio Dacha), placement of commercials and news items on TV (A-ONE Hip-Hop Music Channel, MTV Russia, NTV, Russia 2, TV Center, Moscow 24, VKT, Russia Today, Channel 3, etc.), as well as broad outdoor advertising in Sokolniki Park.


EXTREMEX-2013 Festival to be held in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre. The exposition to be hosted in pavilion number 2 (4,385 square meters), and the show zone will take an outdoor area at the Festival Square (12,000 sq.m.).
