In June Sokolniki Park will be transformed into a launch pad for the long anticipated extreme park comprising various active sports facilities: skate park, rock-climbing wall, artificial surfing wave, wakeboarding club, and children’s Panda-park, park’s press service announced. The skate park will nest behind the administrative offices within a new asphalted area of over 2 000 square metres. The ramps will have a roofing structure for comfortable skating in rainy weather. In the same area rock-climbing walls are to be built for international competitions. An artificial surfing wave – a facility unique for Moscow parks – will be located nearby. Panda-park, an adventure rope route complex will resume its work near 4 Luchevoi Prosek, largely catering for junior adventurers. One more novelty for the capital’s park is a wakeboarding club.
