Surfing. Roxy Pro in France.
Throughout the current week in Biarritz (France) the Roxy Pro Surf competitions are being held among women. Every day, beautiful and the world’s best women surfers gather in famous La Cote des Basques, where they meet some clean 0.6 to 1 meter waves breaking along Biarritz's coast.
The two competitions will be run during the same period. The final of the ASP Women's Longboard World Championship (WLT) this year will be joined by the final of the ASP Women's World Title Tier in Biarritz.
Tough competitions are now between the only two remaining world title contenders, Carissa Moore (Oahu, HAW) and Sally Fitzgibbons (New South Wales, AUS). If Carissa wins the Championship, she will get the title of the Surf Queen ahead of time. If Carissa loses, Sally still will get a chance to compete for the first place in the ranking of ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals).
The final of theWomen's Surfing World Championship is to be held in Huntington Beach, California, the USA, on August 1-6, 2011. Source: roxylive.com |
