The Individual Ice Racing World Championship’s leg in Blagoveshchensk
The Individual Ice Racing World Championship finals held in Blagoveshchensk came to an end with the Red Bull athlete's victory. The second weekend of Motul FIM Ice Speedway Gladiators’2014, the Individual Ice Racing World Championship was held at the Amur stadium. On Saturday, Daniil Ivanov let Dmitry Koltakov take the lead, but on Sunday, in the final race of the competition the reigning world champion was fortunate enough to leave behind Igor Kononov, Dmitry Koltakov and Pavel Chaika. As a result, Daniil Ivanov took first place and strengthened his leadership in the overall lead. Currently Daniil Ivanov scored 72 points. His lead over Dmitry Koltakov increased to 4 points. Meanwhile, Igor Kononov has almost scored the same quantity of points as Dmitry Khomitsevich. The third leg of the Individual Ice Racing World Championship’2014 is to be held from March 8th - 9th in Assen (the Netherlands).
